Art Appreciation

You only gain true appreciation for a process when you try it for yourself.  This is true of all art disciplines.  Trying an art - whether music, painting, drawing, acting, or dance - for yourself helps you understand all of the work and effort that goes into creating a piece of art, a performance, a craft, or anything handmade.  Come out and try one of our classes and you will walk away with a great piece of art, a new skill, and a newfound respect for artists everywhere.  

Currently the studio is owned and managed by one artist.

Heather Butler, a 2007 graduate of Shippensburg University, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a minor in Music.  

She currently works as a professional artist, exhibiting in various galleries throughout Pennsylvania.  Heather owns two businesses, Created By... and Heather Leigh Photography both located in Pine Grove, PA.  She is also the current Adult Education Director for The Arts Barn Art Center located just outside of Orwigsburg, PA.  In addition to teaching a scheduling classes for The Arts Barn, she leads monthly craft sessions with underserved populations such as special needs, veterans, and seniors.

Arts are her passion and she would love to help you see the artist in yourself!  Whatever your skill level, Heather can help you learn, refine your technique, build your portfolio, or simply learn to enjoy the artistic process.

Art and Music Classes

Want to refine your skill, gain some new techniques, or just be creative for a bit?  Join a class and accomplish your mission!  I am working on a full line-up of different classes, mediums, crafts, and musical skills; your input is always valued, however, and I would love to know what you would like to see.  I am always looking for new places to instruct classes on painting, crafts, music, or whatever you'd like.  Classes will encompass various age groups from toddlers to senior citizens:  there will be something for everyone!  

Private and small group classes are available as well for those who would like to delve into a specific area.  Contact the studio for pricing.
